Thousands gathered in Washington D.C. over the three day period ending Monday to pay tribute to the men and women who sacrificed their lives in wars past and present. On Memorial Day, some prayed in silence while others gathered at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall to remember the sacrifice of friends and loved ones and heroes they will never forget.
