A recent USA Today Gallup Poll shows nearly half of all Americans say food inflation is causing hardship for their families
The rising cost of food is becoming a big concern around the world.  Many countries from Ghana to Mexico have started reducing tariffs and taxes on food. And the World Food Program has requested more than $700 million from the international community to help meet basic food needs in developing countries.  But even consumers in developed nations are having trouble with the high cost of food. Experts say a few simple tips can help consumers anyplace maximize the money they spend on food.
