A和Z是英文字母组开头和结尾的两个字母，所以“A to Z”的含义是“由头到尾”，即指事情的始末。

是船上的甲板，但此语不能照字面解释为“在甲板之上”，其含义是“见得光的”，也就是“光明正大的”。

Name drop / Name-dropper Have you ever known people who name drops? If you know prominent or influential people, maybe you name drop. Those who name drop are called name-droppers. They like to impress people by mentioning the names of important people, and that is what it means to name drop.

有些人为了去给别人留下印象，便“NAME DROP”， 即是于言谈间，提及他们认识的名人或要人，这些人都有是在社会上显著和有影响力的。那些NAME DROP 的人，便被称为NAME-DROPPER。
