When France and Senegal kick off on May 31 in the opening game of the 2002 soccer World Cup Finals, they will be making history. For the first time, the only international sporting event to rival the Olympic Games in popularity will be taking place in Asia. In another first, two countries, rather than one, will play host to the tournament.

I like my school uniform.

I like my school uniform.。

Rita: What are you wearing?
Shawn: My school tie and blazer.
Rita: Your school uniform? Why would you do that?
Shawn: I like my school uniform. It's quite becoming.
Rita: But you're 28 and you graduated 10 years ago. Take it off, you look ridiculous.

My school uniform is quite becoming。

(1) Such language does not become a girl(女孩子不宜说这样的话)。(2) She pouted, which strangely became her(她撅着嘴,这表情竟然很好看)。She put on her most becoming dress即‘她穿上最漂亮的衣服’。

Uni有‘单一’含义,例如unify(统一)、unicycle(单轮车)、unique(独一无二的)、unisex(男女统一的,不分性别的)等。 The walking sticks must be of uniform length and color(手杖必须长短、颜色一致)。

He is in school uniform,‘他们穿着校服’同样是They are in school uniform。而wear uniform则可不可数都悉随尊便,你可说They wear uniforms,也可说They wear uniform。 He is wearing a new school uniform, which sits badly on him(他穿的新校服并不合身)。
