Yi-jun and Holly are at home
Yi-jun: I saw Gimi the other day. He wanted me to give you these. [hands photos to Holly]
Holly: He took these when he was sitting in that tree. That's not something a normal person does, Yi-jun.
Yi-jun: We've been through this before. It's just Gimi's style. He feels more comfortable taking photos from that angle.
Holly: I know. But it makes me feel shy around him. [looking at photos] Wow, these are really good.
Yi-jun: You know, I think Gimi likes you.
Holly: He asked me out to dinner.

Throughout history, rainbows have been a source of mystery and legend. Rainbows are also important symbols in a number of cultures around the world. In the Old Testament of the Bible, for example, God shows Noah a rainbow to let him know that the Flood is over and that he will never destroy the earth again with flooding. An ancient Mayan book also tells of a rainbow signaling a new age after the destruction of the earth.

He eats like a pig.

He eats like a pig .(他吃得像头猪)。 He wolfs down his food.(他狼吞虎咽)、He needs a bib.(他需要个围兜)、He is a slob.(他是邋遢的人)、He has no manners.(他没有仪态)。

对 话
Rita: Why won't you sit by Brian?
Katherine: I have my reasons.
Rita: Is it because he eats like a pig?
Katherine: Almost, but not quite. It's because he eats pig. Bacon, ham, pork chops, pig's knuckle. I'm a vegan.
Rita: Oh.

Where are your table manners?(你的用餐礼仪哪里去了?)、Put your napkin on your lap(把餐巾放在膝上)、Don't talk with your mouth full(嘴里满是食物就不要说话)、Don't put your elbows on the table(手肘不要放在桌上)等等。

He eats like a pig, greedily and noisily(他吃相像猪一样,贪嘴得很,而且吃得吱吱作响)。 Reading poetry to him is like casting pearls before swine即‘对他诵诗,犹如对牛弹琴’。

Make a pig of oneself直译是‘把自己弄成猪的样子’,意思是‘大吃大喝’,强调的却不是吃相难看,和eat like a pig有点不同。I am afraid I made a pig of myself at dinner last night即‘我昨晚吃饭,恐怕是吃得太多了’。To eat like a bird则是‘吃得很少’,例如:She eats like a bird to keep herself slim(为了保持苗条,她一向吃得很少)。
