Gary: You can't boss people around!
Mike: [Yelling from backstage] I'm the director, so you have to do what I say.
Gary: Then why don't you direct?
Mike: Because you're getting in the way. So shut up.
Gary: You're not getting rid of me that easily.
Mike: If you want to quit, just say so. We don't need you anyway.
Gary: I helped you right from the start.
Mike: Keep quiet until it's your turn to speak. Got it?

In Lavazza's store, coffee was sold raw and then roasted according to each customer's personal preference. Luigi Lavazza was considerably skilled at carefully selecting the amount of each ingredient required for one particular blend as well as expertly determining the degree of roasting. Over the next sixty years, the company experienced rapid commercial growth with its foray into the wholesale market and its decision to narrow down its range of products. By the mid forties, the company, now Luigi Lavazza S.p.A, began specializing in the production of coffee.

I dig that beat.

或者说:I feel the beat.(我感受那节拍)。 Tap your feet to the beat.

Helen: Looks like you're enjoying that.
Brian: What? (Takes off earphones) I'm really enjoying this. I dig that beat.
Helen: So what type of music is it? Soul? House? Rap? Funk? Tell me.
Brian: It's not music, it's my heart. Boom, boom, boom. Music to my ears.

布莱恩说爱听自己的心跳:I dig that beat。 (2) Do you really dig avant-garde music?(你真的欣赏前卫派音乐?)

‘喜欢’还有一个颇有趣的说法:to have a soft spot for,直译是‘对…… (1) I have a soft spot for Chinese folk songs.(我特别喜欢中国民歌)。(2) We have a soft spot in our hearts for our youngest son.(我们特别喜欢最小的那个儿子)。

They danced/tapped their feet/clapped their hands to the rhythmic beat of the drum. An accomplished ballet dancer, she did not miss a single beat.(她芭蕾舞技纯熟,没有跳漏一个节拍)。

His heart had an irregular beat(他心律紊乱)。 The thief's heart missed a beat when a cop stopped him(那小偷被警察拦住,心里发毛)。
