You're wanted on the phone.
所以当你知道这个电话不是找你而找Jolin的话,你该怎么说呢?"Jolin, you're wanted on the phone."
A:May I speak to Mr. Barkley, please? B:Can you hold the line, please? Mr. Barkley, you're wanted on the phone. C:Oh, thank you. Hello, this is Stuart Barkley speaking. A:Hello, Mr. Barkley. This is Andy Ho from the National Bank. I'm calling about your checking account, it's overdrawn I'm afraid. C:Oh, really? I wonder how that could have happened. Let me check and I'll call you back.
You're wanted on the phone." Jolin, you're wanted on line one." Jolin, Jay wants to talk to you on the phone."
There's a call for you.、You're wanted on the phone.、It's for you. Tom, your girlfriend is on the phone.(汤姆,你女朋友来电话找你。)
I'm calling about your checking account, It's overdrawn I'm afraid.(我打电话来,是因为你的支票账户恐怕透支了。) 从账户提款叫to take / draw money out of the account 或to withdraw money from the account,存款入账户则叫to pay / put money into the account。 The bank sends me a statement for my checking account every month.
从账户提款是to draw money out of an account,透支当然就是to overdraw an account。 The bank called to say that my account was overdrawn.(银行打电话来说,我的账户透支了。) The account is $1,000 overdrawn.、The account is overdrawn by $1,000.(账户透支一千元。)
